One of the most loved and enjoyed Indian original shows of the nation Mirzapur boasts of a large fanbase spread across the globe, however, it’s not known to many that Anjumm Shharma who plays Sharad Shukla in the crime-drama is one of the biggest experts of the show. Recognised and appreciated by his co-stars for his impeccable knowledge of the show, Pankaj Tripathi and Rasika Duggal alongwith other cast members pull his leg calling him as the Encyclopedia of Mirzapur. Acknowledging the same, Anjumm also accepted the new title hilariously on his social media.
In an interview recently, Pankaj Tripathi revealed that he would often turn to Anjumm Shharma to know details of the show,
“During the shoot, at times if Guru (Gurmeet Singh) is busy, I would ask Anjumm, ‘what has happened in the scene earlier’, I know, I don’t need to bother the director for it, Anjumm can answer better.”
Rasika Duggal too added to the same saying,
“He would tell you the line is from which season, which episode, he will also tell you what was the original line in the first draft.”
Responding to a friend who proudly highlighted the new title bestowed upon Anjumm Shharma through social media, the actor reposted the story saying,
“Filhaal gaddi ka to pata nahin Yeh naya khitaab zaroor mil gaya 😅😅🙈🙈 yeh bhi theek hai”.
After a brief introduction in season one, Anjumm’s character Sharad Shukla received more prominence in the second season. Currently running the race amongst the top contenders for the Mirzapur throne, Sharad’s character graph has got the audience hooked, with fan theories predicting the character to ride to victory this season.
Releasing on 5th July, Mirzapur is inching closer to release, piquing the interest of the audience across quarters.
