Silk Lounge:It all started in a small village in Punjab, India where a young boy helped his father in the fields and his mother in the kitchen. In the fields, he learnt the art of organic farming which was the traditional way the farmers grew their crops, and in the kitchen, he learnt all about spices, their combinations, and how to cook a healthy, tasty and sumptuous meal.
Even after Gary Sidhu moved to Canada the fire within him didn’t fizzle out. The boy grew up but he didn’t let the hardships of life deter him from his lifelong mission – To cook and serve healthy food to his patrons without compromising on the taste.
Several years and many jobs later he was able to bring his dream to fruition and SILK was born.
Yellow Chili: The Yellow Chilli Restaurant (TYC) is the most famous restaurant chain brand from SK Restaurants owned by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Its conception has an interesting story behind it. Chef would often be asked, “You have a TV show, why don’t you have your own restaurant yet, where we can go and eat the food cooked based on his recipes”
Now that the restaurants were up and running, he would still be asked, “Why have you named it The Yellow Chilli‘? We know about red ones and green ones, but yellow?”
Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge – where our passion for exquisite cuisine blends with our appreciation for diverse whiskies from around the globe.
A large part of our inspiration for Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge comes from our love of whisky, and our inspiration for the name comes from the Isle of Skye, a revered whisky region in Scotland known for its distinctive, flavorful spirits.
Guided by this inspiration and drawing from the cuisines of major whisky-producing regions of the world, we started on the journey of Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge.
And this journey made us wonder: What really defines Canadian cuisine? To us, it’s a colourful mix of foods from different regions. This mix has influenced our Chef, helping create what we now proudly call modern Canadian cuisine.
Bandra Cafe: Mumbai Local brings the bustling streets of Mumbai to Vancouver with its lively ambiance and vibrant decor. The restaurant’s casual yet stylish interior reflects the spirit of Mumbai’s vibrant food scene, offering a menu that highlights street food favorites and regional specialties.
