SHIAMAK Vancouver presents: VANCOUVER CELEBRATES DANCE SHIAMAK Vancouver brings back Vancouver’s first annual International Dance Day celebration, bringing together stalwarts of Vancouver’s dance community.
April 29, 2023, 3 pm to 7 pm
Vancouver, BC (April 14, 2023) — SHIAMAK Vancouver is proud to present the second edition of Vancouver Celebrates Dance to celebrate International Dance Day with some of Vancouver’s leading dance organizations.
“VANCOUVER celebrates DANCE” will take place on April 29, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery, North Plaza (facing Georgia Street).
This is a free public event and will feature interactive, multicultural dance workshops and performances from some of the Lower Mainland’s most accomplished dance organizations including Harbour Dance Centre, North Shore Academy of Dancing, Source Dance Company, Seymour Dance, Samba Fusion, SHIAMAK Vancouver and others.
“SHIAMAK Vancouver is proud to be part of a community that loves to dance together. VANCOUVER celebrates DANCE will bring the dance community and the public together to celebrate the joy of dance,” said Shiamak Davar, Founder and Artistic Director of The SHIAMAK Group.
“Harbour Dance Centre is proud to celebrate International Dance Day with the Vancouver dance community. We’re excited to feature the Source Dance Company and some of the other groups that work out of our studios. Come and celebrate with us!”, says Pamela Rosa, co-owner of Harbour Dance Centre.
Along with breathtaking, high-energy Bollywood performances by the SHIAMAK Vancouver Dance Team, audience members can expect to see some great performances by some of the leading dance companies and studios from across the Lower Mainland.

SHIAMAK has been spreading the joy of dance to children and adults, 4 to 84 years of age, for more than three decades, through dance classes and performance events.
