Get your Chaat Masala and Popcorn ready because your aunty’s favorite Sima Aunty is back on August 10th! After two years of waiting for the new season of the hit Netflix TV show Indian Matchmaking, Sima Aunty is back and in business. The 2020 Emmy nominated show showcases Mumbai-based matchmaker Sima Taparia using traditional matchmaker skills to arrange marriages for Indians from India to the United States. The participants of last season consisted of Aparna Shewakramani, Nadia Christina Jagessar, Vyasar Ganesan, Akshay Jakhete, Rupam Kaur, Ankita Bansal, Pradhyuman Maloo, and Vinay Chadha, who each had an episode dedicated to their pursuits to “find the one.”
The show has been such a success in the Desi community that the creators of Indian Matchmaking are creating a spin-off show for the Jewish community called Jewish Matchmaking! This show will highlight people from Israel and the United States trying to find love within their community! This show is sure to be a hit as well!
Season 2 of Indian Matchmaking will give viewers a look into some familiar faces’ lives and newcomers to the show, which will spice things up! The show has taken over the world and has even been renewed for season 3! In response to the widespread love from all around the world, Sima Taparia told Netflix, “I was surprised by the response to the first season of Indian Matchmaking,” and “I’m overwhelmed by the love I’ve gotten, and the appreciation for Indian culture and values. I know fans will love what’s coming in Season 2!”
