2 years ago, Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande became a household name with Pavitra Rishta. Their portrayal of Manav Deshmukh and Archana was much loved by the audience. The fans of the show will be happy to know that Pavitra Rishta is making a comeback and the shooting for it has started as well. While Shaheer Sheikh will be stepping into the shoes of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Manav, Ankita will reprise her role of Archana. It will be aired on Zee5 soon. Sushant breathed his last on June 14 last year.
Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput fell in love while shooting for Pavitra Rishta. They also made a great on-screen couple. The actress will now be seen romancing Shaheer Sheikh on the show and their first look has been released by Zee5.
The duo is seen wearing plain clothes in the picture while holding the director’s clapperboard reading Pavitra Rishta Shot 1 Take No. 6. While Shaheer is seen wearing check black-and-white shirt, Ankita looks pretty in a white floral kurta with yellow dupatta.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Pavitra Rishta aired on from June 1, 2009 to October 25, 2014. The story started with Archana’s mother Sulochana fixing her marriage with Manav Deshmukh. She had a misunderstanding that Manav is a mechanical engineer who owns a garage. Finally, the duo get married and her family learns that Manav is a mere mechanic. Gradually, Archana and Manav fall in love with each other. Later, Manav’s younger brother Sachin dies in a car accident leaving his fiancée, Shravani, pregnant with his child. Archana and Manav divorce each other and his marriage is fixed with Shravani so that the child could have a bright future. At the last moment, Manav and Archana marry each other and hence unite again.
