Toofan Trailer: Farhan Akthar raise the bar high in the power pack sports drama

Farhan Akhtar is known for delivering stellar performances with some extraordinary stories with each of his projects, projects which tend to unveil the journey of life. He is all set to amaze the audience with his power pack performance in Toofan. The trailer of the film is out now.

In the film, Farhan is paired with gorgeous beauty Mrunal Thakur. Toofan that will be helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. This will mark their second collaboration after the superhit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Toofan also stars Paresh Rawal as Farhan’s coach and Darshan Rawal as a baddie.

In the trailer, Farhan Akhtar plays Aziz Ali, a street fighter from Dongri, Mumbai who scales up to be a great boxer but then things go horribly wrong. Mrunal Thakur plays the love who inspires him to be boxer Ali rather than gangster Ali while Paresh Rawal as a coach guided him to many laurels.

During the press conference of the trailer launch, the entire cast addressed the question of the media. Talking about how challenging was the training period, Farhan said, “As you start training for the sport you realize how much you think you are fit. You are not prepared to take on the sport of boxing with that attitude in mind that it will happen. It is an extremely demanding sport. It is physical, mental as well and emotional for the player, it’s like playing chess with your opponent but you are using your body.”

Mrunal revealed that her role is an amalgamation of the people that inspired her in the journey. Her mother, who motivated her too do the best in her part of the film. Paresh Rawal on the other hand talked about fitness and how this film has changed his perspective towards being into sports.

Toofan will stream on Amazon Prime on July 16. This movie makes us wish theatres were open and we could see it on the big screen. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment production in association with ROMP Pictures.
