In the start of the video the guy says ‘chal yaar koi sad song baja de’. And then you sing this amazing track. How did the idea of this track come out?

So that line ‘Chal Yaar Koi Sad Song Baja De’ was not in the track so it was basically Director’s idea Mudassar Khan, he created and got that visual look in the music video. I have just sung the song and featured in the video as well.

In lockdown creating a song might have given the artist time but filming it is always a difficult task. How was it for you? Can you share any incident that you happened during the making of this song?

It was too normal for me, as we had made sure that we will take care of all precautions and will make sure things goes smoothly. We took proper precautions and by wearing mask, following social distancing.

How was it collaborating with the music company Apni Dhun?

Apni Dhun is one of the genuine Music platform I have worked with, the entire team of Apni Dhun is very much hard working and understanding. They make sure that everyone has to be comfortable enough to work with each other.

How is your experience working with Payal Dev and Kunaal Vermaa?

Working with Payal Dev is a great experience, her music and melodious compositions are really good, I prefer calling her one and only Female Composer of our Music Industry. I felt so happy that she created this beautiful song ‘Ae Sanamm’ and I appreciate her hard work.
Kunaal Vermaa is one of the finest Lyricist I have worked with, the way he penned such a beautiful words for this song.

Do you think this track would receive that much love and appreciation that Tum To Thehre Pardesi got in it’s time?

I think it won’t be correct to compare the success of 2 different era songs, as ‘Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi’ was created in cassette era and ‘Ae Sanamm’ is created in digital era. People those days use to purchase cassette to listen the song but now everything is on YouTube and streaming platforms. I feel every song has its own journey of success.

This track is like your comeback into music after almost 5 years. Why did it take so long for you to be back?

I was always there in Music Industry, I have created my singles and uploaded on my YouTube channel, I even use to upload my Shayari every week. I prefer doing more singles then Bollywood songs, but whenever I get any film song then I prefer doing that project.

If you get to choose between Independent singles or Bollywood songs what would you choose and why?

Independent music any day, because I feel film song do get outdated sometimes, independent music has a very long way. I came in Music industry through Independent music by singing my own songs and after ‘Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi’ I started getting film music offers.

After this what are you planning next?

So I have few songs lineup, but ‘Kya Baat Hai?’ is my next upcoming song.

A message you will like to give your fans on staying safe and being positive during these trying times.
