Rita Morar Set To Release New Single “This Is Love”


Rita Morar is set to release her sixth single called ‘THIS IS LOVE’ on Friday 28 February 2020.

‘THIS IS LOVE’ shows a different side to Rita’s voice. With a powerful melody in a soft rock ballad style, Rita wanted to capture the audience with her strong voice and presence. ‘I want the listener to feel the journey of love and curiosity; the feeling of when you are intrigued by someone’.

Despite being unsigned, singer/songwriter Rita has forthcoming music lined up and is already working on other projects with artists such as Hussain Manawer, Adrian Sherwood and Drifta. She recently performed at her first headline show in London for Mishti Dance. She hopes to touch even more audiences with her heartfelt vocals.

About Rita Morar

Rita Morar is a London-based singer/songwriter who sings in both Hindi and English vocals. Rita is available for live performances and session recordings. From a young age, music has always been an important part of Rita’s life. Whether it is devotional singing, playing the harmonium or having a great interest in a fusion of music from Bollywood to EDM, Rita continues to strive for a greater understanding in music. Her great musical influences lie with Nitin Sawhney, A.R Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar, Emeli Sande, Alicia Keys and Enigma to name but a few. As a live performing artist, Rita has had the opportunity to sing to a wider range of audiences around the UK. Experiences include working with Keda Records with Kuljit Bhamra, being featured on BBC Radio and collaborating with bands such as The Phoenix Rose and Ar8 Collexion, for which Rita delivers haunting notes throughout. Rita’s debut song with Steve ‘Fingerz’ Carty called ‘Rain’ was released as a Dubstep remix by Piyush Bhatnagar aka Sound Avtar on Monkey Dub Recordings. She was chosen by BBC Asian Network as Bobby Friction’s ‘Friction Introducing Artist of the week’ in April 2010. Bobby Friction quoted ‘Rain’ the as the following: ‘It’s a work of immense beauty; I defy you to find a track more beautiful than this in 2010’. Aired on BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio 1 and also Buzz Asia, the song made an impact showcasing Rita’s powerful vocals amongst great Dubstep sounds.
