As Akshay Kumar rings in his birthday today, here’s a recollection of movie which gave us a new Akki every time:

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

Amidst love, family and marriage, Akshay Kumar spoke about a very important topic ignored in India since for longtime – open defecation.

Padman

While Toilet spoke about open defecation, this film covered another aspect of personal hygiene. The film is about sanitary hygiene. It takes guts for a superstar to speak up on such looked-down-upon topics.

Jolly LLB 2

This movie dealt with the corruption in the law system present in India. It dealt with the topic sensitively, yet keeping the comedy in place, where needed.

Baby and Holiday

The world of ‘Baby’ and ‘Holiday’ showed us the terrorizing effects of terrorism, and how the armed forces fight to make the world a better place to live in.

OMG – Oh My God!

Playing Lord Krishna in the movie, Akshay Kumar preached not to keep blind faith, but to held Lord close to your heart, because he’s your friend, even more than a masterpiece. Here’s wishing Akshay Kumar a very happy birthday!
