Bollywood may have delivered some stinkers in 2016, but it also gave us some truly pathbreaking cinema. Whether it was through technological advances, stories of female heroism, better representation of homosexuality, or simply showing us the brutal, ugly side of love, 2016 could well be described as Bollywood’s coming of age.
