No one likes a bully not even the net! But a dance team which we all adore sure knows how to make kids smile and cheer them up and also educate others not to bully others! This Anti-Bullying event was a definite success for the community! This is a memory the Kids will cherish for the rest of their lives moving forward. Not only did they get to support anti-bullying, but they also got the opportunity to dance alongside and meet their favorite BC Lions players!
Anti-Bullying flash mob dance with four schools from the Delta School District was planned for the Anti-Bullying Day (Wednesday, February 24th) at 11:30am, and more than 700 students participated. The location for the flash mob was the grass-field at North Delta Secondary School (11447 82nd Avenue, Delta). This flash mob saw students of different age groups and different cultural backgrounds coming together, through the magic of dance, and showing their support for anti-bullying.
The participating schools were: North Delta Secondary School, Richardson Elementary School, Sands Secondary School, and Delview Secondary School.
Furthermore, to make this flash mob unique and to create maximum exposure, the 700 students performed a dance routine to a Justin Beiber song (“Children”), as well as to a very popular Bollywood song that is focused on celebrating life (“Shaam Shaandar”).
