1. Sonam Kapoor in Ralph & Russo Couture

After forming a personal relationship with the designer duo, Sonam Kapoor exclusively sported Ralph & Russo Couture gowns at the Cannes Film Festival this year. And of all those stunning creations, this dramatic custom white gown made the biggest impression. The train made her look every inch a queen, while the cutout detail and choker gave the gown a bit of an edge. Needless to say, we were blown away!

2. Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad

Priyanka Chopra was another desi beauty who donned white on an international red carpet. This time the occasion was the Academy Awards, and this sheer Zuhair Murad gown landed the Quantico star on many a best dressed list for the evening.

3. Vaani Kapoor in Ashi Studio

The Befikre star may be a relative newcomer, but she pulled off this beaded green Ashi Studio gown like a fashion veteran! Keeping her hair simple, she accessorized with Chopard earrings and silver metallic sandals.

4. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Elie Saab

When it comes to the Cannes red carpet, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Elie Saab are a match made in heaven. She donned a creation by the designer again this year, this time choosing an embellished blush-colored gown. The look easily could have been a snooze, but the deep red lipstick and winged eyeliner gave the evergreen beauty an Old Hollywood Gothic edge.

5. Katrina Kaif in Rebecca Taylor

Fresh off her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif majorly stepped up her style game during the promotional tour for Fitoor. And of all the looks she served, this boho chic Rebecca Taylor dress was our favorite! You know what they say: looking good and living well is the best revenge!

6. Pooja Hegde

Pooja Hegde, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo Daro, made quite a splash at the 2016 GQ Men of the Year Awards in this white Temperley London gown. Her sleek ponytail, slit skirt, and cutout back made for the perfect mix of fresh and sexy.

7. Neha Dhupia in Marks & Spencer and Payal Khandwala

Trust Neha Dhupia to deliver the unexpected on the red carpet! While most actresses donned gowns at the IIFA Rocks celebration, Neha opted for a chic ivory jumpsuit by Marks & Spencer. But what truly made the look was the yellow Payal Khandwala coat she paired with it. Not many women could pull this look off, but Neha is, as always, one of a kind!

8. Sonam Kapoor in Monique Lhuillier

Making her second appearance on this list, Sonam Kapoor chose this white strapless gown with black floral details from Monique Lhuillier. Always one to follow the mantra “more is more”, Sonam paired the gown with a matching cape and understated jewelry by Amrapali. She kept her hair simple and let the voluminous gown and cape do the talking, but the bright red lip was certainly a nice finishing touch!

9. Kareena Kapoor in Monisha Jaising

Kareena Kapoor is someone who can carry off both the most elaborate and the simplest of gowns with equal ease. On the TOIFA red carpet, she opted for the latter style, choosing this sleek Monisha Jaising dress in burgundy. Her makeup and loose bun were perfectly suited for this look, giving her a soft and elegant silhouette that Kareena carries beautifully.

10. Anushka Sharma in Ridhi Mehra

Who says that style and comfort can’t go hand in hand? Anushka Sharma was the picture of elegance in this grey two-piece creation by Ridhi Mehra. Gold jewelry by Suhani Pittie elevated the look, but we still can’t help but marvel at just how cozy Anushka looks in this outfit!
