It’s that time of year again! On October 31st at Club Millennium Juhu in Mumbai, Shahrukh Khan fanatics from all over the world will congregate for the 4th Annual SRK Fandom Awards.
Hosted by SRKUniverse, the Internet’s number one source for all things SRK, the 2016 Fandom Awards will formally recognize fans of India’s biggest superstar by offering awards in 21 different categories, including Best Fan Club, Best Fan Boy, Best Fan Girl, Best Photo Editor, Best Video Editor, and Best Branch of SRKUniverse.
The awards, previously held online, have now moved to an urban venue where they will host stand-up comedy acts, live performances by renowned singers, and much more. The event will go live on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter as well.
Says Muhammad Ashraf, Maldives-based founder of SRKUniverse and organizer of the Fandom Awards:
“SRKUniverse has always followed the motto of uniting fans all over the world. So we have decided to conduct the SRK Fandom Awards in Mumbai every year from now onwards.The idea of having SRK Fandom Awards is to make the fans happy, to spread joy in the fandom, to proliferate the spirit of ‘SRK-ism,’ to make everyone forget their differences and bring them closer, and to celebrate the notion of being fans.”
Fans will be asked nominate each other by putting up the Twitter handles of people who they think are most deserving in 21 diverse categories that were designed based on what the fans do year-round. The nomination entry period begins 12:01 AM (IST) on 25th September and ends at 11:59 PM (IST) on 20th October 2016.
