International Women’s Day honors the struggles women faced and the achievements they have attained throughout history and the present day on March 8th. Each year Nav-Bharat Co-Operative Society hosts ‘Womens Pride Ride’, a rally that highlights the achievements of women. It also draws attention to the inequality issues women still face today.
This year the Women’s Pride Ride rally is organized by Nav-Bharat Co-Operative Society in association of Royal Thumps (Royal Enfield Riders Group) and BURN (Bassein Urban Riders Network). The ride will start at 8 AM on March 8th from Gandhi Smarak, Arnala Beach (Virar West) and will head towards Vasai Fort. The event will be graced by the presence of Women’s Indian Cricket team member, Mrs. Sulakshana Naik and Marathi film actress, Ms. Neha Patil.
The rally this year will also witness Harley Davidson bike-riders and Superbike riders, who have pledged to support the cause and be present in large numbers. The organizer’s urge all riders to come in large numbers for the ride and help them spread awareness for respecting and protecting women.
