Ujjwal Anand has been a part of the industry for 16 years. He has worked with corporate giants like Sony, Reliance, Colors, Star Sports, among others. The executive producer of Aakhri Sach shares about his journey so far.
“I have worked on Live IPL shows, launching Super Dancer, working on The Kapil Sharma Show, Kaun Banega Crorepati and Bigg Boss. My work has been quite interesting so far,” he says.
Getting associated with Aakhri Sach is a story in itself.
“We met with the Disney Hotstar team in December 2019 end and sent them a full write-up in March before Covid. During covid the best news we got was that the project was green lit. My role was setting up the project, getting the team on board and managing the entire project,” he adds.
Tamannaah Bhatia playing a cop is special as we have not seen her playing a cop ever, according to Ujjwal.
“Shooting on real locations was also a new experience,” he shares
About his association with entrepreneur turned filmmaker and actor Nikhil Nanda, he says,
“Nikhil has been supportive of everything that I have done so far. Thanks to Covid, we decided to work together. Apart from being my brother, he is a mentor to me, he is like my guardian angel, who is always watching over me,” he says.
On working with Shivin Narang and Tamannaah, he adds,
“Working with Tamannaah was a pleasure. She is prompt and on time, rehearses thoroughly, which is a great quality. Working with Shivin was good fun. He is a one-take actor and fully co-operated while we were filming in the heatwave of Delhi.”
So what are your future plans?
“Right now I am enjoying doing all kinds of work. And at the moment, I am working on Indian Idol 14 as project head. Films are definitely something which I want to do and have a script ready, so I hope it starts soon. Apart from all these, I am also working on bringing exciting stories to life,” he ends.
