Tina Tandon is a NY based FIT (NYC) Honors grad, Award-winning South Asian Fashion designer, having her fashion knowledge and experience fine-tuned with the likes of Top European Fashion brands – ESCADA and CHRISTIAN LACROIX under LVMH.
She spent several years working in the NY Fashion Industry before launching her own brands. She has now completed 15 years running her own Eco & Socially conscious fashion labels doing social good, while minding the environment since 2008. Women and Children empowerment, sustainable development processes, use of Natural, Sustainable or zero waste fabrics, Fair Trade manufacturing- are all incorporated in her core business practices. Most of her collections are seasonless – and are named by their inspiration, instead of a Season, to encourage sustainability.
Tina Tandon was one of the first Indian-American designers to launch an Indo-fusion fashion line out of NYC back in 2006 (soft launched, and fully launched in 2008), and has helped shape the Indo-fusion market in the US as a pioneer. She currently runs two fashion lines – T.TANDON (@TTandon_NY www.ttandon.com ) and Posh Pari Couture (@PoshPariCouture www.poshpari.com ) catering to both the American mainstream, and the Indian-American diaspora.
Her high caliber designs that are influenced by her dual cultural upbringing and a worldly view- are made to perfection, with exquisite Eastern handwork, embellishments, craftsmanship, and Western expert fit, construction and draping. It’s contemporary, glamorous and feminine womenswear with an edge, effortlessly chic attitude and a worldly flair – designed by a Woman for Women, and supporting Women in return!
Tina Tandon and her work has been featured in over 40 top US and international fashion publications including WWD, Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, L’Officiel, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Asian Age, NY Mag, Time Out NY, and Vogue Italia. Her dresses are often seen on major Red Carpets like the EMMYs and GRAMMYs, and on numerous celebrities and personalities around the world from Padma Lakshmi to Brooke Sheilds to Taapsee Pannu.
Her designs have been worn and appreciated by many Hollywood and Bollywood celebs alike– including Grammy winner FALU, Padma Lakshmi, GOLDEN GLOBE winning Director/ Producer Nisha Ganatra, Brooke Shields, Katrina Bowden, Taapsee Pannu, PV Sindhu, Soha Ali Khan, Janina Gavankar, to name a few. Her dress and styling got FALU on 2022 Grammy’s Best Dressed List in over 15 Top International Fashion Publications – a first for any South Asian artist.
TANDON supports many Women empowerment and Children causes, and most of her collections are made in Women-owned factories. She has been awarded a Humanitarian award at CANNES Film Festival, and an Honorary Doctorate in NYC for her work and contribution in Fashion. She has also received an Emerging Global leader award and published in Roshni book amongst the Who’s who of South Asian personalities around the world. She has been asked to speak at numerous US Universities and Seminars – as a known South Asian Fashion Designer.
