Sudeep Focuses On “Body Shaming” In His Next Book “She Friend-Zoned My Love”.

Last week the book held the 2nd position in India after long time number one on the bestselling fiction list, Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist (HT-Nielsen Top 10) and had also managed to displace Coehlo’s book in the week before to secure the first position (HT-Nielsen Top 10).

In his new book, Sudeep focuses on “Body Shaming”, a major issue that at some point of time affects the life of today’s generation.

Today’s youth constantly spends time on Social Media posting pictures of “Zero Figure” and “6 Pack Abs”. It has become a trend to beautify one’s appearance to avoid being trolled with cyberbullying. In order to be accepted in the society and peer groups, even the highly educated tries to fit in the general FB/Insta influenced perception on looks.

With one of the lead characters Sia, the author highlights this problem through her journey of fighting depression due to weight issues. As the author caters to a younger audience, he wants to make his readers realize the importance of self-compassion.

He has penned a story that seems usual but evokes twists and turns with an exciting tale of falling in and out of Love. Through the central lead characters Apurvv and Amrya, the book also explores the psychology behind friend-zoning and the struggle for maintaining the same bond of friendship after being friend-zoned.

Sudeep Nagarkar is an Indian novelist and fiction writer. Born into
ethnic Marathi Brahmin family in Mumbai, he has authored eight books
in six years. His books continue to top the bestseller charts across the
country since their release and have sold in millions. His life journey
has been the greatest inspiration that is evident in each of his books.
They have been translated into regional languages like Hindi, Marathi,
Telugu & Gujarati etc.

His latest book “She Friend-Zoned My Love”- was announced on 13ththe March 2018. The
book is a tale of a charming guy longing for a girlfriend but ending up in a complicated
scenario.
His first novel, Few Things Left Unsaid, was puThe writing in 2011. Writing was always his
flair but the traditional way of education and thoughts restricted him but maintaining
a dairy always kept him connected. Later, a heart break made him switch his career
from engineering to writing which currenthe tly has made him bestselling author.
He is very proactive on social media including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter etc
with a fan following of more than half a million. He also writes for television like Sony
& Colors and gives guest lecturers in various institutes and organizations. When not
writing, he loves to spend time with his family, friends. He is an avid reader and
music enthusiast. “Not Without My Daughter” by Betty Mahmoody is his all time
favorite book that has inspired and motivated him.
His second book, “That’s The Way We Met”, was published on 1 July 2012. Soon after
the release of his second book, he quit his job at an IT company in 2012 to fully
devote his time to writing.
