Orry has been making headlines with his stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, where he has managed to bring together his signature glamour and an unexpected dose of grit.
While his fashion-forward appearances have remained a talking point, his journey on the stunt-based reality show has also seen him face fears, take on challenging stunts and push himself beyond his comfort zone.
Recently, Orry shared a series of letters addressed to host Rohit Shetty, reflecting on his journey so far and responding to the assumptions people had about how he would fare on the show.
Recalling what he believed was the “unspoken script” when he signed up for the show, Orry wrote, “I knew the unspoken script whispered by everyone when I signed up: ‘he’s high maintenance, he’ll turn the stunt arena into a fashion show, and be back on a flight home by episode two.’”
His fashion-forward approach was evident even before he entered the stunt arena. Recalling the packing process, Orry shared, “When the stylist came home to pack, we hauled out over 7 suitcases with over 20 curated looks. He literally laughed and said, ‘Are you sure you need this many? I don’t even think you’ll last long enough to wear half of them.’”
However, Orry clearly had other plans. Celebrating his journey so far, he wrote, “Well… look at us now. Ten episodes down, 50% of the season conquered, and every single outfit accounted for.”
While glamour remained an important part of his Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 experience, Orry emphasised that his journey was about much more than just serving looks. He wrote, “Yes, I brought the glamour. Yes, I served the looks. But more than that, I showed up at every stunt, faced the fear, took the bruises, and didn’t complain.”
He further added, “Never choosing between being glamorous and being tough and proving both are possible.”
Orry also expressed his gratitude towards Rohit Shetty for appreciating his distinctive fashion choices while recognising the determination he brought to the stunt arena. Addressing the host, he wrote, “Thank you so much for always celebrating the outfits, teasing the vanity, but always respecting the fight in me.”
Taking his signature style a step further, Orry concluded his note with a statement on fashion, confidence and individuality. He wrote, “Anyone and everyone wears designer to a party, it’s safe, but serving high glamour and drama in the middle of stunt dust and having the alpha of males validate it is what makes the difference between a fashion icon and follower.”
Orry’s journey on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 has consequently offered audiences a different perspective on his personality. Alongside the glamour, designer looks and larger-than-life presence, he has shown a willingness to face his fears, take on demanding challenges and stay in the game.
With half the season conquered, Orry appears to have turned the initial expectations surrounding his participation on their head proving that glamour and toughness can coexist, even in the stunt arena.
