Television’s beloved on-screen pair Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha are reuniting with O Humnava, Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Prateek Sharma under his banner Studio LSD. For Prateek, the project is especially significant as it marks his first production for Star Plus.

Reflecting on his journey, he shares,
“I came to Mumbai from Indore on July 1, 2010, with just one bag after securing a role as a creative intern at Star. I spent six to seven years there, learning the craft. Today, producing a show for the same platform feels like coming full circle. It’s like returning home—only this time as a creator.”
Talking about bringing Shabir and Sriti together again, Prateek says,
“I had previously worked with Shabir on Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan, and this time we had the opportunity to build a story that both he and Sriti would connect with. O Humnava, Tum Dena Saath Mera gave us that space. We’re not trying to present something drastically different—we’re telling a simple, honest story. It reflects the everyday realities of relationships, the phases a man and woman go through, their dreams, conflicts, and emotional journeys. It’s a slice-of-life narrative that resonates with what many people experience in their own homes.”
He further adds,
“Having spent years in the industry alongside them, I can say this with complete honesty—everyone on our set, from the spot boy to the director, feels the same way: they are both incredible human beings. Working with them is effortless. My role is to answer their questions, address their concerns, and ensure they feel confident about the characters. With Shabir, I share a strong professional and personal bond—he’s someone I truly admire. And Sriti is equally wonderful; I got to know her through him, and she’s just as warm and genuine.”
Prateek concludes,
“It doesn’t feel like work when you collaborate with people like them. They support you, even cover for your shortcomings at times—which is rare. When you’re surrounded by such good individuals, the entire experience becomes seamless and truly enjoyable.”
