Lokit Phulwani, who is seen as Avinash in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Oh Humnava—Tum Dena Saath Mera, which is produced under their banner Studio LSD, shared that he was drawn to the show because of its rich, layered, and emotional storytelling. He is also grateful for his character, as he resonated with its emotional honesty.
He said,
“When I first read the script of Tum Dena Saath Mera, I genuinely felt an instant emotional connection. There was a certain warmth and depth in the narrative that stayed with me even after I finished reading it. It wasn’t just another story; it felt real, layered, and very human. What touched me the most was the sincerity in the characters and the way their emotions unfold so naturally.”
“I could actually visualize the journey while reading, which doesn’t happen with every script. I also felt that my character had a meaningful journey, something I could truly bring my own experiences and emotions into. That’s when I knew this project was special, and I immediately felt excited and grateful to be a part of it,” he added.
Talking about his character, he shared,
“From the very beginning, I felt there was something very genuine and relatable about the role. It’s not just about the external journey but also the internal growth, which makes the character even more compelling to portray. What really stood out to me were the different layers, the strength, the vulnerability, and the subtle emotional transitions throughout the story.”
He mentioned that these are the kind of roles every actor looks forward to, as they allow you to explore different shades and bring authenticity to the performance. Lokit Phulwani added,
“I also felt a personal connection with certain aspects of the character, which made the process even more exciting for me. When you connect with a role on that level, it naturally reflects on screen.”
To prepare for his role, he focused on the emotional nuances, as the character has a lot of depth and subtle layers. He said,
“I also paid attention to the finer details such as body language, expressions, and overall demeanor to ensure the character comes across as believable and relatable. Sometimes, it’s the smallest nuances that help bring a character to life on screen.”
“Additionally, I made sure to stay mentally aligned with the character before important scenes, which helped me transition smoothly into the required emotional space. My focus was always on keeping the performance honest and grounded, and that’s the approach I followed while preparing for this character,” he added.
And those emotional moments added a bit of challenge too. He said,
“There were certain emotional moments that required extra effort to portray authentically. Some situations in the story demanded a deeper emotional intensity, and I had to consciously step into the character’s mindset to do justice to those moments.”
“At the same time, these challenging aspects also made the journey more fulfilling as an actor. They pushed me to explore new emotional spaces and grow through the process, which ultimately helped me bring more depth to my character,” Lokit ended.
