Abhishek Sharrma, now widely recognised for playing Devansh in Vasudha, recently spoke about his journey in the entertainment industry, admitting it hasn’t been an easy ride. Not competition, but the constant uncertainty was the biggest challenge for him. But instead of letting it affect him negatively, Abhishek chose to keep his head down, keep working on himself as an actor and focused on being present for each opportunity, believing that things would work out eventually.

“The biggest challenge was dealing with uncertainty. There were phases where things were not moving the way I expected, and that can really test your confidence,” he shared, adding that simply standing out in a crowded industry is a challenge in itself.

“Breaking through the noise, standing out in an industry full of talented people, is not easy.”

Instead of letting those phases pull him down, he chose to look inward. There was no shortcut, no overnight fix.

“What helped me was staying consistent and not taking rejections personally. I kept working on myself physically, emotionally and as an actor. I focused on improving my craft instead of chasing validation, and slowly things started aligning.”

He also spoke about something many actors hesitate to admit – the struggle to stay motivated when things aren’t going right. For Abhishek, the answer was simple, even if not easy. Just show up.

“I think the key is to keep showing up, even when you don’t feel like it. You don’t feel good, you are not feeling emotionally well, but you still have to go for that audition. You just have to show up,” he said.

“Sometimes you don’t know what the casting director or the production is looking for. So you just have to do your work, stay true to your craft.”

There were moments of doubt, too, like for anyone else.

“There are phases where you feel demotivated, where you feel that you need some sort of validation. But that won’t always come. It’s within you. You have to trust yourself, trust the process.”

Looking back, he believes staying honest made all the difference.

“Whatever I do, I try to do it with utmost honesty. I believe in my craft and try to deliver what is required.”

It’s not a dramatic success story filled with big turning points. Instead, it’s steady, patient, and real—much like Abhishek Sharrma himself.
