Ishita Dixit has been steadily winning appreciation for her sincere and emotionally grounded performance as Pari in Star Plus’ hit show Anupamaa. With her quiet strength and natural screen presence, the actress has managed to leave a strong impact, reflecting her growth and consistency as a performer.
Opening up about her process as an actor, Ishita shares how working on a long-running show brings stability and confidence.
“As a performer and as an actor, when you work on a show for more than a year or so, a certain stability settles in your mind,” she says, adding that it brings a sense of calm and grounding. “You start feeling more confident, and you discover many new shades of yourself—both in your personal life and in your work.”
According to Ishita, being on set and performing scenes constantly pushes her to explore new aspects within herself.
“You realise that a moment could be approached differently,” she explains, adding that this process naturally reflects in one’s personal life as well.
Talking about playing Pari, Ishita admits the preparation was never difficult.
“There isn’t a huge difference between Pari and me,” she shares.
While Pari is more mature, sensible, and career-oriented, Ishita describes herself as someone who enjoys fun, sarcasm, and light-hearted moments. This similarity helped her slip into the character with ease.
She also speaks about how the line between reel and real starts to blur over time.
“When you play a character for a while, many layers within you gradually begin to peel away,” Ishita says, adding that she is currently experiencing this phase of self-discovery.
Looking ahead, Ishita Dixit is excited to explore newer layers of Pari and her own acting journey, embracing whatever comes next with patience and optimism.
