Udne Ki Aasha starring Kanwar Dhillon and Neha Harsora is soaring now, especially after the revelation of Tejas and Roshni getting back the 27 lakh and not revealing it to the family. However, the mystery continues as Sachin and Sailee hunt down the beach house conman and find out more information about Roshni.
As part of this hunt down of the conman named Ajay, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya fame Mohammad Nazim has returned to television with a cameo as VK, who is a popular actor from television. While Sailee had the first encounter with him, it was revealed that Sachin is a huge fan of the actor and his shows.
Sachin revealed how influenced he is by the actor’s character Sanam (a nod to the iconic Ahem), and a flashback reveals Sachin along with his friends watching the show with full enthusiasm and interest. Sachin was also shown watching it in his car and praising the character of Sanam.
Now why is this news you ask? Well, this unknowingly addressed the stereotype that only women watch serials. As a man myself, passionate about the world of serials in so many ways, I could not help but appreciate how much those scenes resonated. While the statistics show most of the viewership being women, with changing times, men are also choosing content that they relate and connect to. And Indian television shows reflect society better and provide a long-term emotional commitment unlike web series, which you often think men may enjoy more.
Sachin’s fan encounter also depicted so many fans’ reactions, as stars from television share a strong connection with viewers. The scenes also paid tribute to some iconic moments from Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, without explicitly mentioning it.
After these amazing scenes and themes, which honestly hit quite hard… I’m ending off this article by putting a spin on Sachin’s dialogue for Sanam:
Saare bete log ek taraf, Sachin jaisa beta ek taraf… Sachin dada ek number hai!
