Kyunki’s Ajay reflects the Modern Issues Men face in Society.

Spread the love

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’s new season features three Gen Z kids who are the children of Tulsi’s late sister. Tulsi and Mihir adopted them and raised them to the best they could. However, the daughter, Paridhi, shows no sign of inheriting her parents’ values and has resorted to manipulating her parents and even ruining the family she married into. It has left her husband, Ajay, played by Nirvaan Anandd, broken.

Pari married Ajay to make her boyfriend, Rannvijay, jealous. She married into the Parekh household with the intention of leaving the house by manipulating her parents into believing that the family and Ajay are not good. Ajay and his family showed love for Pari from the start, but she could not value it due to her plans. She demeaned the family members, framed them for a gas explosion, broke Ajay’s sister’s marriage, and even played with his father’s health. The last straw was when she openly insulted the family members and compared Ajay to his imprisoned brother-in-law, Viren. Pari used makeup to show that Ajay hit her when he never laid a finger on her.
While this provides a dramatic track to watch, the issue here is not far from reality. In the recent past, there have been various cases of men facing ill treatment and false accusations from their wives. From unreasonable alimony requests to even plotting their husbands’ murder, the news headlines have been disturbing and prove that domestic and gender-based violence is not gender specific.
Hopefully, this sparks conversations and makes people aware that a man, and a husband, can be a victim too, and that they should be given a voice and protected equally from false allegations and one-sided laws.
