Shooting with babies is often said to be one of the toughest challenges for any actor. Recently, actress Sonyaa Ayoddhya opened up about her experience working with a little one on set, and the behind-the-scenes glimpses made it even more evident. As we can see in the videos, the way Sonyaa handles the baby in between break shots shows how much she loves babies her code of conduct around them is truly amazing.

Talking about her approach, Sonyaa shared,

“Just staying extremely calm. When you’re working with a baby, you have to remember it’s not about you anymore. It’s about making sure the baby is comfortable, in the right mood, and safe. Patience becomes your superpower.”

But of course, babies can be unpredictable. Crying, mood swings, or sudden breaks are part of the package. Recalling a funny incident, she said,

“The baby was crying all the time! We had to cheer him up using chocolates. We’d lure him in with a tiny bite, and that would buy us a few minutes to shoot. It was honestly hilarious like we were negotiating with the cutest little boss on set.”

When asked if the child’s presence added a special energy to her performance, Sonyaa was candid:

“Honestly, not really! Babies are beautiful and their energy is pure, but working with them makes the scene much harder. You can’t explain the mood or emotion of a scene to a toddler. And getting them to leave their mommy and build a connection with you? That takes serious time, effort, and patience.”

Despite the challenges, the actress admits the experience was eye-opening on a personal level.

“That I absolutely adore babies! I’d love to have my own someday, and I’m open to adopting too. But I also realized how much maturity and emotional regulation it takes to raise a child. It’s a lot of adventure, but a lot of responsibility too. I’d definitely want to grow into that kind of calm strength.”

The set turned into an unexpected training ground for Sonyaa, who even picked up a new skill.

“Yes! I genuinely learned how to communicate with babies. I feel like I can now handle little ones like a pro. And that’s a skill, believe me!”

Summing up the experience in one word, Sonyaa Ayoddhya laughed and said,

“Adventurous. Because every single moment was unpredictable, full of surprises.”
