Off-screen, the multi-talented actress and anchor is just as enthusiastic about good storytelling! In conversation, Charul Malik talks about shows shutting soon and the shows that have her hooked.
With shows shutting down so soon don’t you worry about what to take up and how to gauge ?
Its alarming how shows begin and shut so soon its promoted with huge gungho and by the time the promotions are even allowed to die down the show is almost in its ending phase. It is sad because a lot goes into putting a show together but i feel its hugely because people are not being able to connect with story lines and also one wants to watch seasoned actors yes new comers too but seasoned actors should always be a part of shows which is needed to create an impact. The relatability of a show is very important and i feel thats lacking hugely. There is no guarantee to anything but a good star cast always gets you good views and longevity.
One actor you would like to definitely work with from the industry and why ?
Salman Khan hands down. Hope this dream turns to reality real soon.
Who is on your bucket list of work ?
I would love to work with Salman Khan one day some day. I’d love to host a reality show where my anchoring skills come to the forefront its something I’d love to do. I hope GECs call me for a good anchoring show soon.
The last series you binge watched and what kept you glued to it ?
Chamak – i was glued to it i watched the earlier season too so this is what i loved watching reminds me of home as its Punjab based and i am from Chandigarh. What a story line and how beautifully written would love to work with the makers and alongside the actors some day. Mohit Malik has played his character so well he is such a fresh and welcome change. Absolutely loved it!
