Neha Harsora is now a name you know all too well after her portrayal of Sailee in the current hit show Udne Ki Aasha. The actress chats to us about this and what it is like having your sibling in the same industry.
Is there ever a healthy competition between you and sister being in the same profession?
There is never any competing between us siblings, in fact i am very happy that my sister is also doing something in the same field. I wish for her to really excel and do well in all that she takes on and for that matter my other siblings too, i wish them grand success in whatever they take on in life. We all learn from each other. There is always this respect and unsaid bond so more than rivalry there is constant revelry 24 x 7.
Do you both ever discuss work ?
Yes its a family so even though we try and not bring work home but ho hi jaata hai and yes we do discuss projects what to take on what not, how to go about one’s character and certain nuances so its an amazing bond we all share.
Does sibling rivalry exist at all or its just how the industry perceives it?
I hugely think it depends from person to person and yes most of which can also be an understanding of the outside world which is never true in most cases.
How much do you relate to your character of Sayali?
I relate to my character totally, its like living a parallel, like i also have 4 siblings and am the responsible one. The character feels like its home. I bring life to this character because i relate to most of her characteristics hence I am able to show that on screen. It becomes that much easier its like portraying what i already am and i love coming to work every day without a doubt.
