Hiten Tejwani Steps Aboard New Show ‘Meri Bhavya Life’

Spread the love

After a considerable hiatus from Colors, Hiten Tejwani is all set to make a much-anticipated comeback — this time in a role that feels both special and deeply personal. Taking on the character of Nitin Jaiswal, Hiten brings sincerity and emotional depth to Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa’s upcoming drama Meri Bhavya Life, produced under their acclaimed banner, Sphereorigin. The production house has delivered notable shows such as Maan, Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Balika Vadhu, Tere Mere Sapne, Gangaa, Balika Vadhu 2, and Internet Wala Love, among others.

Meri Bhavya Life takes a poignant look at societal stereotypes, focusing on themes of body image, self-worth, and acceptance. At its heart is Bhavya (played by Prisha Dhatwalia) — a gold medalist, accomplished architect, and a plus-sized woman who is abandoned at the mandap by a man who saw her more as a social asset than a life partner. As Bhavya rebuilds her life with courage and grace, Rishank (played by Karan Vohra), a fitness-obsessed and validation-driven man, enters the picture, challenging her newfound stability.

In this layered narrative, Hiten portrays Rishank’s father, Nitin Jaiswal — a self-made businessman and principled patriarch who has built his textile brand, Jaiswal Maheshwari Sarees, from the ground up in Bhopal. Nitin, a man rooted in traditional values, dreams of finding a daughter-in-law like Bhavya to carry forward the family legacy. But as generational ideologies clash, the question looms: Will his dream unify the family or deepen the rift between father and son?

Hiten Tejwani, playing the role of Nitin Jaiswal in‘Meri Bhavya Life’,

“Coming back to Colors after so many years feels like returning to my creative home. I’m essaying the role of Nitin Jaiswal — a self-made man who has built his saree empire from scratch and takes immense pride in the legacy he’s created. Naturally, he wants his son Rishank to carry that legacy forward. But when the son’s dreams don’t align, it creates tension and emotional distance between them. As a father of teenage twins myself, I understand how challenging it is to balance expectations while allowing your children to carve their own path. What I love about Nitin is that while he comes from an old-school mindset, he values character over image — seerat over soorat. In a society that’s constantly chasing filters and flawless appearances, he stands out as someone who recognizes real worth. I’m proud to be part of a show that champions body positivity and self-worth — themes that truly matter today. Colors has once again crafted a story that goes beyond entertainment, delivering a message that’s especially relevant in a culture obsessed with validation through pictures, posts and likes.”

Meri Bhavya Life is set to premiere on April 30th on COLORS and will air every day at 7:00 PM.
