Leena Jumani, who is playing the role of Sonia in the show Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, produced by Rajan Shahi’s Directors Kut Production, says that many people can relate to the show. She adds that she loves everything about her character.
“Well, my first thought was ‘nice.’ I think many people can relate because in life, there are often moments where we feel something, but it goes unsaid. Without saying anything, we just try to understand… And this story is saying ‘unspoken but felt.’,” she says, adding, “I can say there was nothing for me to say no to this role. My character’s name is Sonia and she is Kunal Malhotra’ ex. She, in the show, is making some mess.”
Ask her if she feels the pressure of entering a show midway, and she says,
“I have gone through this pressure a couple of times now, (laughs). But now, I don’t feel pressured. I think it takes some time to get to know each other and get comfortable, but I believe everyone tries to make each other feel comfortable to create a good atmosphere to work peacefully.”
Talking about working with Rajan Shahi and Directors Kut Production, Leena Jumani says,
“It’s so far so good. I’m feeling happy, it’s my first show with Directors kut production, and hopefully it goes a long way.”
The show is a blend of drama and romance, and that’s what the audience are connecting with, she says, adding,
“I think love is the biggest drama. Now, in this emotional roller coaster, whether drama will win or love, only time will tell.”
