Star Plus’s ‘Imlie‘ has always been an audience favourite, and the third season is receiving a great response too. Adrija Roy and Sai Ketan Rao’s portrayals of Imlie and Agasthya have won over viewers, and it seems the story is about to take an exciting new turn!
So far, we have seen Imlie pretending to be a rich girl named Noyonika Johri to impress Agasthya for a job, as the latter keeps away from those who are not rich. Imlie’s lie was exposed, and she faced Agasthya’s rage. Imlie faced another setback by losing her job as a singer in the local bar, all thanks to Babli’s greed and Amrit’s revenge. As Imlie can no longer contribute to the household’s income, Pallo kicks her and Ashu out.
The latest promo of the show indicates that Agasthya and Imlie will soon get married! It starts with Imlie agreeing to marry Agasthya and his offer of money to marry him, which she intends to use for Ashu’s treatment. Imlie poses another condition whereby she will not let Agasthya apply sindoor because she highly values the symbolism of it. When the wedding takes place, Agasthya’s grandmother makes him apply sindoor to her forehead. While Imlie reflects on why she got married, Agasthya passes a taunt that she is greedy.

With so many revelations yet to come, this marriage could take us closer to the family discovering that Ashu is the child of their family. This marriage will also change the dynamics of the Chaudhary house! It will be exciting to witness more moments of Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy’s unique and refreshing chemistry.
Imlie airs Monday to Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in India and South Africa, 10 p.m. on Utsav Plus in the UK, and streams on Hulu in the US.
