Actor Vijayendra Kumeria is a busy person since he is shooting for his daily show Teri Meri Doriyaann. Besides his acting commitments, he is also a hands on producer. His latest show is Jahan Chaand Rehta Hai on DD National.
Speaking about his journey as a producer, Kumeria says,
“We have produced shows for Doordarshan in the past, many shows for Dangal TV including Crime Alert, finite series Dhaak. In addition to this we have produced and co produced short films, web series and its a pleasure to produce one more show for the National broadcaster. People often ask me how I am being able to juggle between acting and producing I would just say that it is possible because of our fantastic creative and production teams who work efficiently. Most importantly Preeti and Irfan are the two strong pillars which keep the shows running. We normally produce shows together. I am not always required to be present physically everywhere.”
He also adds,
”I enjoy being in front of the camera and behind it too. I can not choose between the two as for me anything to do with creativity and filmmaking is interesting.”
Usually, there is a common belief that DD National is not a very popular platform but Vijayendra strongly opposes it.
He says,
“Kumeria Productions has not made any boundaries. We are up for anything that is creatively satisfying and has good returns. DD National is a national broadcaster. I have started my career with them so it will always be close to my heart and we will produce for them whenever we get the opportunity. Also I would like to mention here this channel has maximum reach and they select concepts which give messages to the society.
Jaha Chaand Rehta Hai is a relatable story in which the protagonist aspires to study and become an astronaut who is inspired by Kalpana Chawla’s achievements. She dreams to reach the moon and breaks all the barriers and doesn’t let any stone unturned to make her dream a reality. From being inspired by Kalpana Chawala she herself becomes an inspiration for others. The story has a message that supports female education along with an entertaining screenplay filled with emotions and drama.
I have always believed that any content should have a message along with entertainment. Jahan Chaand Rehta Hai is a story that will inspire a lot of girls to get educated. Even parents will want to support their children to study and chase their dreams.“
On asking about his further plans as a producer Vijayendra says,
” I definitely want to be one of the biggest producers in our industry and I don’t want to be modest when I am saying this. I want to produce good content for different mediums. We’ll be producing shows for different channels and ott platforms in the near future. Multiple projects are in the pipeline and we will talk about them when the time is right.”
