In this world of social media, Kaisa Hai Yeh Rishta Anjana actor Rahul Sharma says that youngsters rely too much on the need for others to compliment them, make them feel better. He says that it’s important to not be rule by what others thing about us and be so hard on ourselves all the time.

“These days, it seems that everyone is smart enough to understand what they want or what they are supposed to do. However, despite this understanding, I observe a lot of what some might call stupidity. But I hesitate to label it as such because I remember when I was at that age, making mistakes and learning from them is a natural part of the process. Some individuals learn from their mistakes, while others do not. If you don’t learn, life will eventually teach you a significant lesson in its way. My advice to young people facing social media pressure is not to take the need for validation too seriously. Don’t beat yourself up if you’re not performing well in a particular area, and certainly, don’t harm yourself due to the pressures of competition. While pursuing your goals, remember to enjoy life as well,” he says.
Depression and anxiety may come and go, but what you need to do is build a strong mental framework that allows you to understand and respond to these challenges patiently, he says, adding,
“Create a system that makes you resilient enough not to be broken by difficult situations, as they will undoubtedly try to break you. However, during this process of potential breaking, you have the power to shape and transform yourself into a better version. Patience is the most crucial lesson I have learned in my life. So, my only advice is to be patient and trust that everything will eventually unfold as you desire.”
He says that its important to understand that struggle is part of all journeys in life and will always be there.
“The struggle has always been present, even in the past when there were fewer platforms. Everyone seems to be eager to hear stories of struggle, especially in Bollywood and similar industries. However, the positive aspect now is that there are more platforms available. If you don’t get a particular role that you believe you deserve, there’s a high chance that you’ll end up with an even better role than the one you initially desired. There are numerous possibilities and independent platforms thriving at present. It’s a golden age of creation, a transformation in the field of content creation. Anyone can produce content and achieve a professional standard by consistently practicing their craft. If you’re passionate about what you do and continue working diligently, success will come to you naturally. There’s no need to worry excessively about struggles or other external factors. If you stay focused on your craft and remain talented, the right opportunities will find you and reward you accordingly. So, the main criteria are to hone your talent and constantly improve your skills. As long as you’re committed and dedicated to your work, everything else that’s beyond your control will eventually fall into place,” he says.
