The third season of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain recently debuted on Sony Entertainment Television. This season sees the return of Nakuul Mehta as Ram Kapoor and Disha Parmar Vaidya as Priya Sood-this time, Dr Priya Sood!

It has only been a couple of episodes so far, but the story of Ram and Priya has already taken off, and the pace is serving the story quite well. This season sees Ram as the brain behind the hugely successful food delivery app ‘India Eats’. Dr Priya, on the other hand is a dentist. It is refreshing to see Ram’s elegant and modern office and Dr Priya’s homely dental practice often on the show. The fans have seen how Yuvraj leaves his six-year relationship with Priya for Alekha – Ram’s wealthy business partner, with hope that Alekha will fuel his ambitions. Ram’s mother Shalini wishes for Ram to be married to someone who will be at his side every step of the way and takes a liking to Priya. After a national broadcast of Ram and Priya’s meeting in the car, a misunderstanding arose and now Ram and Priya are all set to get married. Ram is going ahead with the marriage for his mother’s health, while Priya is doing it to show Yuvraj she has moved on.
While the premise is fresh in its execution, the performances are also worth mentioning. Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar shine even more than they did the last time. Their scenes together come across as very natural, whether it’s a comedy scene or a serious one. Their chemistry is undoubtedly one of the best on our screens. Another star of the show is Supriya Shukla, who plays Shalini Kapoor, Ram’s mother. We’ve seen her play a mother many times, but in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3, the role is quite different, and we get to see so many new shades of her. There’s a positive energy which she brings to every scene and it reaches the viewers’ hearts. Akkshith Sukhija excels as the ambitious and grey-shaded Yuvraj in a very organic way too. All the other cast members are also shining so far, and we can’t wait to see their characters blossom too.
On the show, the term ‘RaYa’ has been mentioned many times, and there’s no surprise why it carries so much emotion in reality too. If you’ve not watched the show before or are still sceptical, start by watching the recent episode where Ram and Priya meet at a restaurant and visit a dhaba afterwards. Those scenes speak volumes themselves!
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 airs Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television worldwide
