Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia spoke about her battle with depression and anxiety on Bigg Boss 16. While many thought that her conversation with BB in the confession room (which she felt is private and not to be aired) was a publicity stunt, her fans & audience came in abundance to support her via social media with comforting and encouraging messages.
In fact all those who thought her candid conversation was a publicity stunt, are now applauding her gesture for helping Shalin Bhanot when he was feeling low, more so because it is the same Shalin Bhanot who had earlier mocked her condition on national television.
He asked Nimrit- How do you snap out of that dark hole of thoughts to which she politely replied “You must try to pray & meditate”, she also suggested him to engage himself in his favourite activity, be it working out & dream of the outside world, his family. Nimrit also suggested him to try & convert his dark thoughts into happy thoughts by thinking of something that makes him happy.
Such gesture can only come from a person who is real and humble who is empathetic and humane. Nimritians are Proud of You Girl. You are a true #Mentalhealthadvocate
