The producer has multiple shows on air currently and won accolades for them at the recently held Shri Dadasaheb Phalke International Film & TV Awards 2022.
Shahi’s production houses; DKP as well as Shahi Productions bagged three awards at the ceremony. His signature show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, won the award for the longest-running Hindi TV show 2022. The show has been on air since 2009 and has successfully captivated the audience’s interest. Many big names have been associated with the show over the years. The current lead cast includes Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathore.
His Marathi show; Aai Kuthey Kai Kartey won the award for the Best Marathi Serial 2022. The show stars Madhurani Gokhale Prabhulkar as Arundhati, the protagonist of the show and has been loved by all since its inception. The show draws attention to the struggle of an Indian housewife, who stands up to the trials and tribulations of life and takes a stand.
Well, his Hindi show, Anupamaa co-produced by mom Deepa Shahi is no less! The show won the award for the Best Hindi Show 2022. Starring Rupali Ganguly in the lead, the show is also all about courage and conviction. It’s about a housewife finally standing up to those who have wronged her, thereby becoming an inspiring beacon of hope to many viewers, who watch and relate to her.
An elated Rajan says that he could have never hoped for more.
“All these awards show us that the audience is liking what we are putting out for them and there could be no better way of doing it. My awards are dedicated to my team, they are the primary reason behind this success,” he says.
