Alia Bhatt has shown her support for Rashmika Mandanna after the latter defended her marriage with Vijay Deverakonda amid social media trolling. Alia liked Rashmika’s recent Instagram post, in which the actress addressed the negative comments surrounding her and Vijay’s appearance on Koffee With Karan 9.

Following their appearance on the show, several social media users criticised the couple’s relationship. Some even labelled Vijay a “misogynist” and a “narcissist”. Amid the criticism, Rashmika decided to break her silence and shared a lengthy note explaining how the comments had affected her.
Apart from Alia, actors Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani also liked Rashmika’s post. However, Alia’s reaction caught special attention, as she and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, have faced similar criticism in the past.
Ranbir has often been labelled a “red flag” and a “misogynist” by social media users based on his interviews and public statements. His marriage with Alia has also been subjected to online trolling. Earlier, Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, revealed that the couple no longer allow such negativity to affect them.
Meanwhile, Rashmika addressed the online criticism and wrote, “I generally don’t address these things because everyone has a right to their opinions. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and gaining a different perspective. But the current frenzy over our interview feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at.”
The actress also made it clear that she is extremely happy in her marriage and is “obsessed” with her husband. Her response has received support from several celebrities, including Alia Bhatt.
