There are moments when a pilot’s true duty extends far beyond the flight controls moments where instinct, selflessness, and split-second decisions define everything. Recognizing one such extraordinary act, Airlift director Raja Krishna Menon took to social media to honor Capt Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery and quick thinking during the recent Fly Dubai flight hijack.
Raja Krishna Menon, whose critically acclaimed film Airlift brought to life one of history’s most harrowing real-life aviation rescue operations, knows a thing or two about real heroes.
