Hanuman Ansh continues to surprise at the box office. The spiritual drama, which released on August 7, has now crossed the Rs 50 crore mark, emerging as one of the unexpected success stories of the year.
After a steady start, the film witnessed a strong turnaround driven by positive word of mouth and sustained audience interest.
Interestingly, the film’s success comes with the promise of a larger story. Hanuman Ansh concludes with a slate indicating that the story of Neem Karoli Baba is yet to be completed, leaving audiences with a clear hint towards a sequel. Now, writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi has confirmed that work on the second part has already begun.
During a recent interaction with audiences at a multiplex in Agra, Vishal spoke about the plans for the sequel and revealed that the upcoming instalment will explore important chapters from Neem Karoli Baba’s life. The story will focus on his birthplace, Firozabad, before moving to Agra, Mathura and other locations associated with his life and spiritual journey.
Actor Shobhinaw Satyaa, who portrayed Neem Karoli Baba in Hanuman Ansh, was also present alongside Vishal Chaturvedi during the interaction. The second part is expected to take the narrative deeper into the life of Neem Karoli Baba while expanding the world established in the first film.
The sequel was, in fact, part of the makers’ original vision for Hanuman Ansh. When the film was officially announced on February 20, 2026, it was revealed that the project was planned as a trilogy. The spiritual saga is inspired by Divine Detour, a book written by Vishal Chaturvedi.
With Hanuman Ansh now having crossed Rs 50 crore, the unexpected theatrical success has given the franchise significant momentum. As Vishal Chaturvedi begins work on the second chapter, audiences can now look forward to another phase of Neem Karoli Baba’s life being brought to the big screen.
