Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow today unveiled the trailer of Nayyi Navelli, taking the “Bhabhi Daayan Hai” mystery in a direction that is as unexpected as it is entertaining.
Headlined by Yami Gautam Dhar as Mohini in a never-before-seen avatar, the film brings together a perfect new bahu, an eccentric family and a secret that extends far beyond their home.
Set in Meerut, directed by Balaji Mohan and written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, Nayyi Navelli is India’s very own fantasy family-entertainer, blending humour, family chaos, mystery and action in a larger-than-life festive spectacle.
With music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, the film arrives in cinemas across India on October 16, 2026, ahead of Dussehra.
The trailer pulls audiences into the Awasthi family’s world, where the arrival of their new bahu (daughter -in- law), Mohini, soon raises more questions than answers.
What begins with the familiar rhythms of an Indian family, complete with its personalities, opinions and shaadi (wedding) rituals, gradually opens the door to something far more extraordinary.
With Yami Gautam Dhar at the centre of the intrigue, Nayyi Navelli leaves audiences with just enough to fuel their imagination, setting the stage for a Dussehra entertainer that promises to be anything but ordinary.
