Just when you thought Mouni Roy’s 2026 couldn’t get any busier, she went ahead and upped her game by dropping a new picture that has set tongues wagging.
Mouni took to her Instagram stories late last night to share a glimpse of what appeared to be an elaborate, large-scale set all under the glow of a full moon.
She captioned it with her trademark bibliophile charm and penned, “Night shoot with my full loon moon”. No project name, no co-stars, no details. Just a sprawling set, a crew at work, and Mouni Roy somewhere in the middle of it all, clearly very much in her element.

The BTS frame has had everyone curious. The scale of the production visible in the background suggests this is no small undertaking. The set construction, the equipment, and the sheer size of the location all point to something with significant ambition behind it. Given that Mouni already has a full calendar for 2026, one can only wonder what new projects she has started shooting for now. With Madhur Bhandarkar’s The Wives and her first ever Tollywood appearance with Vishwambhara, where she will be seen opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi, already in her pipeline, this new project appears to be one that she has been deliberately tight-lipped about.
Mouni was last seen on screen in not one or two but 3 back to back releases with Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Ab Hoga Hisaab Seasons 1 and 2, all of which won her great applause from all quarters.
These projects also reiterated why she is currently one of the most in-demand actresses across OTT and Bollywood. With Bombay Stories, her international acting debut, she also made all the waves on the international cinema scene as well.
Every new project that she is taking up only adds another layer to what is shaping up to be the most consequential phase of her career. For now, the full moon and a wand emoji are all she’s giving us. And honestly? That’s enough to keep everyone watching.
