Krishna Shroff is many things. An ace fitness icon, an accomplished entrepreneur, and a reality TV force to be reckoned with. But she will be the first to tell you that none of it started with a perfect plan.

When she first got serious about working out, she went in the way most people go about it, wanting everything, including results immediately.

And when that approach inevitably fell apart, she had to go back to the drawing board and ask herself a harder, more honest question. Not what did she want to look like, but what could she actually sustain.

“When I first started, I thought I had to do it all. Every workout, every diet change, everything at once. And when that didn’t work, I had to stop and rethink completely. I broke it all down. Set smaller goals. Stopped trying to win the whole thing in a week,” Krishna revealed. What followed was a shift that changed not just her results but her entire relationship with fitness. She started tracking progress differently. Not in before-and-after photos, but in moments. The week she added two extra reps. The session where she pushed through a weight scale she had been stuck on for a month. The morning she showed up when every part of her wanted to stay in bed. Each one a small win. Each one worth celebrating.

And Krishna swears that taking that approach was when real transformation began to happen. Not in the grand gestures, but in the accumulation of small, consistent improvements that most people dismiss as too minor to matter. Progress, in her experience, is never linear and rarely photogenic. But it is always real. Her advice to anyone starting out is the same thing she had to learn the hard way.

She advocates to break down the plan, set goals one can actually hit, and then celebrate every single time they are achieved. Because the person who does one more rep than they did last week is already winning. They just need to stop waiting for perfection to notice it. “Stop waiting to be perfect. Just be better than yesterday,” she advices.
