Actor Salman Khan attended the funeral of his close family friend, Kumud Rane, on Monday. Several videos and photos from the funeral have gone viral on social media, showing Salman looking emotional as he paid his final respects.
Many members of the Khan family were also present at the funeral. Salman was accompanied by his mother Salma Khan, stepmother Helen, brother Sohail Khan, and sister Arpita Khan Sharma. In the videos, Salman was seen arriving with his security team and close associates. He appeared deeply saddened by the loss.
The passing of Kumud Rane comes just a few weeks after Salman lost another close friend, Sushil Kumar, who passed away at the age of 42. Salman had shared an emotional note on social media after Sushil’s death. He described him as more than a friend and called him a brother who had been a part of his life for over 40 years.
In another heartfelt post, Salman spoke about the reality of life and death. He said that when a person’s time comes, no one can stop them from leaving. He also reflected on how good people often leave the world too soon, while others stay back to complete their responsibilities and life journeys.
On the work front, Salman Khan has an exciting lineup of projects. He will next be seen in Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film also stars Chitrangada Singh in an important role. Apart from this, Salman is currently shooting for director Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming film, tentatively titled SVC63. The movie will feature Nayanthara as the female lead and is being produced by Dil Raju.
