From audition to Interrogation: Ashish Gokhale from the set of “Shaitaan”

In the palpitating world of cinema, where every role is a chance to explore new depths of character and emotion, actor Ashish Gokhale got an exhilarating opportunity to work “Shaitaan.” In an exclusive interview, Ashish Gokhale shares his candid experience working on this project.

 

 

He shared,

“when I got a call from the casting agency of Mukesh Chabbra, I had little insights on the star casting and the magnanimity of the project.” He added, “At the time of audition, I was told to enact the whole interrogation I did in the movie. I delved deeper into the interrogation I was told to prepare and dive into the character.”

He also revealed,

“I Was not told about the co-stars which added an element of surprise to my overall experience working in “Shaitaan””

Later on, when he got to know about the star cast, He exclaimed that his excitement and nervousness to work went to its peak as it was something beyond his imagination. He didn’t fail to mention the butterflies and says,

“I Was thrilled to work with the legends at an early juncture of my career”, he shares describing the surreal moment.

He talked about his shot in London and commented on the discussion with Vikal Bahl,

“ I was informed about the shoot on a very short notice for his role as the irritated police officer who stepped into interrogation.” He explained the intensity of the scene, “The scene asked me to show many emotions to keep it subtly interrogative and not cross a line with my interrogation”

He also mentioned the level of difficulty to craft himself for the role.

He exclaimed with joy,

“I got support and wonderful inputs from the director” This truly describes the collaborative spirit prevailing on the sets of Shaitan.

He recalled,

“Amidst the intensity and seriousness of the shoot, Everyone was extremely chilled out and humble towards me.” He didn’t forget to mention about the fun he had with Ajay Devgan, “Most of all Ajay sir was always very inclusive of me. We had fun banter on the sets”
