The film had its World Premiere as the opening film at the 12th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on 12 August 2023[5] and was released theatrically in India on 18 August 2023. At 69th Filmfare Awards, the film received three nomination, including Best Actor (Critics) for Bachchan and Best Supporting Actress for Azmi.
