Harshvardhan Rane – More than an actor!   

Bruce Lee once said, “A successful warrior is an average man with a laser-like focus” and this quote stands true when we talk about Harshvardhan Rane. It takes a special person to take all the bricks thrown at him and turn them into his very foundation of success. From leaving his home and family at the age of 17, to making his name amongst the biggest stars of the Indian Film Fraternity, Harshvardhan’s personal journey will inspire you, humble you, and make you his life-long cheerleader.

 

This special and talented boy left his home in Gwalior at the young age of 17 to make something of himself. He couldn’t describe in words what he was chasing at the time, but he knew he had to be on very path – like an inner guidance or a gut feeling. Not having any academic accreditations, money or place to live he found himself in Delhi doing odd jobs that would pay him enough to buy one meal a day. He took on multiple types of jobs that earned him his daily wage and continued to work on himself with laser focus… as if what he was chasing was the man he was meant to be. He didn’t know English well so took a job in a global call center where he learned English by taking on the free dialect and language courses provided by the job. His dedication, his drive and discipline to better himself in the pursuit of his dreams is something that remains the same till day.

Born to a Maharashtrian father and a Telegu mother, his early filmography consisted of Telegu films and series which he gained much love and recognition for.  But the chase was not over, he was called for an audition for a film to the dream city Mumbai but due to his prior commitments he was late to the audition. He knew he was meant for this role, so he begged the film makers to just let him audition “I just knew I was meant to portray him on screen” says Harsh during our interview. Not much surprise to Harsh, he got his big break in Bollywood through this role of Inder in the most popular Sanam Teri Kasam which is loved and cherished by audiences across the globe till day.
