I lost my daughter on this day which is why I was very keen on releasing the film on Mother’s Day weekend” says Actor, Writer & Producer Gunjan Kuthiala on the new release date of her film NRI Wives which is now releasing on the 26th of May, 2023 worldwide

The makers of the film announced that “NRI Wives- Grey Stories of Love vs Desires” which is based around provocative tales of NRI couples navigating through life’s maze of emotions & temptations starring an ensemble cast of Samir Soni, Jugal Hansraj, Raima Sen, Hiten Tejwani, Bhagyashree, Kiku Sharda, Gaurav Gera, Sadiya Siddiqui, Gunjan Kuthiala, Samiksha Oswal, Javed Pathan, Aditi Govitrikar, Olivia Malhotra, Kapil Arora will now release on the 26th of May, 2023 in the cinema theaters near you.

Commenting on the delay, Actor, Writer & Producer Gunjan Kuthiala says* “I have a love-hate relationship with Mother’s Day. I lost my daughter on this day which is why I was very keen on releasing the film on Mother’s Day weekend. Due to multiple reasons we had to push the release of the film to 26th of May, 2023” *further adding* “Hum kaun hote hai kuch decide karne wale, Uper waala janta hai what one deserves!!! Releasing a film seems like delivering a baby and I guess these are labor pains of being a new & non film industry producer/film mommy. I guess universe wants our baby film to be delivered on 26th May now. I tried my level best to release on Mother’s Day weekend as my tribute to my lost daughter Aanya, but eeshwar ko shayad kuch aur manzoor hai. It’s Memorial Day weekend in America, so we have pushed the date globally now and also, we are delighted that now PVR will be releasing the film in India”

In Gunjan’s words, there are lot of NRI Stories yet to be told and this film is an ideal portrayal of ‘the reality behind the glitz & glamour, gloss & shine’, she further adds that NRI Wives reflects about how good people can show grey shades too in odd life circumstances and dives into the never witnessed before relationship stories of the immigrants (NRIs) roller coaster. Shot in the USA produced by NRILIFE Productions, the plot of the film revolves around four real -life inspired NRI stories (Old Secrets, Void Space, Desires & Taboo) diving into the grey shades of human relationships, emotions, desires, and curiosity. Among many human-interest topics, NRI Wives deals with marital virginity.
