Not many know Hrithik Roshan has been a part of films with the two senior actors as AD before making his big screen debut with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.
Having worked with most of the leading ladies of Indian Cinema since the beginning of the millennium, it is still not a fact of common knowledge that Hrithik Roshan shared screen with legendary actresses like Sridevi and Hema Malini as a child actor.
While his revolutionary acting debut came in 2000 turning him into an overnight superstar, Hrithik Roshan began his work in the entertainment business at the age of 6. Here’s a look at some of the unknown performances of Superstar Hrithik Roshan:
• Aasha (1980):
At the young age of six, Hrithik Roshan made his first on screen appearance in a song ‘Jaane Hum Sadak Ke Logo’ from Jeetendra’s film Aasha. Hrithik is dancing in the song alongwith the crowd in the song, the film was directed by J Om Prakash, grand-father of the actor.
• Aap Ke Deewane (1980):
In the same year, Hrithik Roshan made an appearance in the film Aap Ke Deewane starring father Rakesh Roshan and late actor Rishi Kapoor. Hrithik Roshan played the younger self of Rakesh Roshan’s character for a flashback sequence in a song from the film.
• Aas Paas (1981):
Making an appearance in yet another song ‘Shehar Mein Charcha Hai’ starring Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Hrithik Roshan adorably dances with Hema Malini while twinning in Pink with her.
• Aasra Pyaar Da (1983):
It is bound to surprise you that Hrithik Roshan has also been a part of a Punjabi film. Making a brief appearance in a song from the film Aasra Pyaar Da, Hrithik Roshan shows off his bhangra skills, dancing around with Raj Babbar and Navin Nischol.
• Bhagwan Dada (1986):
Hrithik Roshan’s last film as a child actor Bhagwan Dada was his first ever acting stint that involved dialogues and scenes with drama, while earlier he was just seen in glimpses of songs and a few scenes. With action, dance, drama, Hrithik Roshan shared screen with the iconic late actor Sridevi for a scene and also the living legend Rajinikanth.
• Khel (1992):
Beginning his journey as an assistant director with his actor turned filmmaker father Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik took first-hand lessons of filmmaking from his father for Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit starrer Khel.
• Karan Arjun (1995):
While the world awaits the union of Tiger, Pathaan and Kabir in YRF’s spy universe, Hrithik Roshan has earlier worked on a film with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for Rakesh Roshan’s iconic hit of the 90s Karan Arjun, which brought together the two superstars on screen for the first time.
• Koyla (1997):
Hrithik Roshan’s last film as an AD before making his debut as the leading actor in Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai was another Rakesh Roshan film Koyla, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit, soon after the same, Hrithik shared screen with Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
