Ankur Nayyar wishes Shah Rukh Khan on his birthday today and shares the lessons we can learn from him

Shah Rukh Khan fans all over the world are waiting with baited breath to celebrate the superstar’s 57th birthday tomorrow. Closer home too things are similar. His industry colleagues too are excited. Actor Ankur Nayyar, who admires King Khan, conveys his good wishes to him. He talks about the superstar being an inspiration for all.

 

“Shah Rukh Khan’s wit and humour is unparalleled. Everybody has their ups and downs in life but the way he has maintained his demeanour and the way it comes across in his professional and personal life is commendable. It’s a lesson for all of us who say that outsiders cannot succeed in the industry. What Shah Rukh Khan has definitely done is a lesson for all of us. He has really been an inspiration, especially for those like us who come to Mumbai from smaller towns of India to be a part of this industry. When he came and gave all those kinds of performances, he made us believe in our dreams. I must admit that I am here because he has really inspired me a lot,” he says.

Ankur loves all SRK films.

“The kind of energy Raj shows in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is unparalleled, you still watch the movie, you listen to the songs, you see his energy levels, you fall in love, and you feel like living that era of nostalgia again. So he makes you believe that yes love is true, love can happen anywhere. He makes us believe that if you put your heart into something, you can always achieve it. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is one of my favourite films. He was not a hero but an anti-hero in it, yet he makes you fall in love with him in the film. He has broken that image of a so-called ‘Hero’ during his entry into the industry. Imagine how anyone can fall in love with a psycho lover? But he made us fall in love with him in Darr” he adds.

The actor feels we can’t have enough of Shah Rukh Khan.

“He’s an inspiration, a motivation. He inspires us with every action with every word, in fact with everything he does. I can go on and on talking about Shah Rukh Khan. We all are really grateful to him for the way he has been entertaining us all these years. Every film of his, be it Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai or Raees, there is something for us actors to learn, some techniques, style, approach… I totally enjoy all his works, in fact I still do. Thanks a lot to Shah Rukh Khan for entertaining us all these years. I wish him all the luck and best wishes,” Ankur ends
