Shama Sikander Spends Ganesh Chaturthi With Friends And Family

The holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year with great fervor in the country with thousands of devotees thronging temples and ‘Ganeshotsav pandals’ to offer their prayers. After two years of celebrating the festival at home or on a much smaller scale, the preparations for this Year’s Ganpati Festival are on the rise, and how!
Shama Sikander’s rendezvous this year take her to many of her friend’s houses including Karan V Grover’s.

Sharing pictures of her and her husband James Milliron partaking in the glorious celebrations at their friend Ajay Kapoor’s House, Shama Sikander seemed to glow in her beautiful red dress. She also attended the Puja at Sonnalli Seygal’s place and the two looked gorgeous and happy together.

She opens up about the day,

“This year was really special since it’s the first Ganeshotsav after my wedding and after two years of having safe and inhouse celebrations of this grand festival, it feels good to finally spend it with my loved ones. Everyone was joyous for bringing home their respective Ganpatis and it was a fun-filled day.”

Shama Sikander was born in Makrana, Rajasthan, India, and is the daughter of Gulshan, a housewife, and Sikander Gesawat who was a marble supplier and now practices Ayurveda. At the age of 9, her family moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where she lived together with her younger siblings, Khalid, Rizwan Sikander, and Salma (born in 1991). Sikander has mentioned in interviews that her early years in Mumbai were extremely difficult, even commenting that at times “there was no food in the house to feed the family”.
