Reacting to the memes of him being the new Radhika Apte of Netflix, the actor reveals his favorite meme on the topic was actually something that his ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’ co-star Yami Gautam said. The actor says, “Recently when we were in an interview for the movie, Ginny Weds Sunny Yami Gautam said that he is the new ‘damaad’ (son-in-law) of Netflix. Which cracked me up and made everyone laugh’’. While he was asked about his comparison with Radhika, he says ‘’I am very fond of Radhika Apte, she is a very amazing actor and is exceptionally hard working. She has ruled the OTT space and now going to Hollywood, I would love to follow that path and reach where she is, while we both laugh at the memes which are being created, they are so funny’’.

The popular star also talks about working with two powerful women of Bollywood, in Chhapaak,

“I always wanted to work with Meghna Gulzar, I was able to pull that off so early in my career is almost like a dream up true. With regards to Deepika Padukone, I had really fond memories as her co-actor. As I always say, she is one of the most incredible people that I have ever met’’. The movie ran into unnecessary trouble during its release, the actor too shared his thoughts on the same. He says ‘’ It is hard to be a Deepika Padukone, in our country. It is difficult to be a woman with a voice. She is the biggest star and icon in our country. If she can be subjugated to this then anyone could. Unfortunately, there is no public discourse today. I stand by what I said.”
